For me, working with cardboard and paperboard is like having a quiet dialogue with the material. I hold a piece in my hands, feel its texture, sense its story, and begin shaping it—always guided by the question of what it could become. My creations are born in solitude, in silent concentration, and often take on rounded, geometric forms: coins, moons, circles, and other symbols that, to me, embody a timeless harmony.
These shapes are not chosen by chance. The circle, a perfect, endless line, represents infinity, the rhythm of life. Each coin, each moon I create, tells its own story. Some remain natural, with their raw, honest texture, while others bloom in vibrant colors that I select with care. It feels as though the material itself whispers how it wants to appear—quietly but decisively.
What fascinates me most is the interplay of form and light. Many of my pieces are designed to incorporate illumination. The light filters through the structure of the cardboard, casting shadows and creating an atmosphere that is both calming and inspiring. It’s as if each piece sends out a gentle message, a soft whisper of warmth and reassurance.
Working alone gives me the freedom to explore my thoughts and ideas without distraction. It’s a meditative process, one that allows me to be fully present. Hours can pass unnoticed—just me, the material, and the vision in my mind.
My creations often find their place in special settings—living rooms, studios, or as focal points in exhibitions. People often tell me they feel drawn to my work, that it emanates a sense of peace and vibrant energy at the same time. That’s the moment that fulfills me: knowing that something I crafted from such a simple material as cardboard has touched someone’s heart.
Each piece I create is unique. I draw inspiration from nature, the infinite possibilities of geometry, and the play of light. And every time I finish a new work, I feel that I’ve honored the material and its understated beauty. It’s this quiet but powerful magic that drives me.
Since my works made of cardboard and paperboard are unique, I create various posters featuring each individual piece.
